HireHigher, which provides careers education, advice and guidance for young people, and Portman Partners, the global executive search business for the digital infrastructure industry, have been
shortlisted for the Best Talent Development of the Year at this year’s Data Centre World Award 2024.
The prestigious awards look to honour pioneers in the data centre sector, shining a spotlight on innovative excellence across a range of categories, as well as recognising breakthroughs and
accomplishments aimed at celebrating the peak of industry success. The Best Talent Development of the Year category acknowledges the exceptional efforts in nurturing and enhancing talent within industry, looking at those who displayed comprehensive plans for recruitment, training, and retention aligning with industry standards and demands. In 2022, the Rising Star Programme was created by HireHigher, and championed by Portman Partners a matter of months after its launch, encouraging employers to think differently about their talent acquisition and retention strategies. The shortlist recognises the industry-wide impact the programme has had, and its commitment to supporting young professionals through a series of events and initiatives promoting the industry to students from around the country, helping develop new relationships and networking opportunities.
